Stephen BROWN

Stephen was one of the most intelligent, warm and entertaining men we have had the pleasure of meeting. In the times that we met him, he made an impact, and we will never forget him.

We send our deepest condolences to all the family. We hope one day to be with you to share our memories.

I remember Steve as a funny, generous, upbeat man who was always excellent company. Can’t believe that he has gone but will treasure the memory of his friendship.

My warmest condolences to all of his family.

Although deeply sad that he has gone, we have very happy memories of time spent with Stephen at and after University, and thought we would share this photograph of Stephen on Godfather duty with our second son, Richard (then aged 2) in the Caribbean in March 1996. Our thoughts are with his family.

Dear family and friends of Stephen. Deeply sorry to hear of the passing of such a fine man. We were colleagues in Lisbon many years ago, and it was a privilege and pleasure to reconnect with him at Politico. He was one of the best. Wishing you all strength, Paul and Amélia.

I wish to send my deep condolences on Stephen's passing. He was a true gentleman, decent and kind, and an excellent journalist, ambitious, hard-working and ever good-humoured with a dry wit. He lives on in my memory. I wish his family strength for this difficult time.
